I am Mr. MILIND DATTATRAYA KULKARNI, a Post Graduate Marketing Professional from India and currently based in China since past 10+ years.

Currently, I am based in the city of Suzhou in the province of Jiangsu. As the vice president of Sunrise Business Group, I am responsible for providing strategic leadership in centre-led sourcing and category management to drive continuous improvements in sourcing processes and protocols. Using external benchmarks and best practices to make recommendations, implementing actions aimed at cost containment, reducing expenditure, managing risk and maximising business opportunities through strategic sourcing. A key challenge of my role is to reposition the procurement team and activities from transactional to strategic operational objectives through business partnering.

Prior to the above, I have worked as the Chief Representative for M/s Pragati Glass Pvt Limited who were my first employer in china in 2004. I was instrumental in setting up their Suzhou Office single-handedly in the year 2005. I have thereafter worked with several organizations in varied fields of International trading, Marketing and sales.

Though it has been quite a fruitful tenure here, it has been tough working in the Chinese environment. Self-discipline, adaptability, quick-learning and to be highly organized are some exceptional qualities one has to embrace to be able to sustain in such an environment. With the sole objective to leverage my skills and know-how of the business landscape acquired during my tenure in China, I wish to consider new opportunities in management /Business development/coordination roles for an organization of repute who wish to benefit from this acquired business wisdom. To continue working China would be a definite advantage, however relocation would also be welcomed.
